JORDAN WOLFE, PRINCIPAL

Jordan is a Principal at Town Partners. Prior to founding Town Partners, Jordan started two 501c3 organizations, CommunityNEXT and Detroit Harmonie, both focused on attracting and retaining young talent in the city of Detroit. Most recently, Jordan was a partner at Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction, a company that provides professional development and onsite coaching to K-12 educators in its proprietary method of instruction to teach reading.

 

Prior to moving back to Detroit, Jordan was an investment professional at Mainsail Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm focused on investing in software and services companies. The principals at Mainsail Partners have invested in 31 private companies over the past 15 years, representing over $300 million of equity capital and have already returned over $1 billion in cash to investors.

 

Prior to Mainsail Partners, Jordan worked in the investment banking division of Credit Suisse First Boston and ThinkEquity Partners, where he advised private and public technology companies on equity and M&A transactions.

 

Jordan graduated with a B.S. in finance with honors and high distinction from Indiana University.

 

KYLE POLK, PRINCIPAL

 

Kyle is a Principal at Town Partners. Prior to founding Town Partners, Kyle was a researcher at the Harvard Business School (HBS) founded non-profit, Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) where he was involved in the formation of a wide range of public/private partnership models in urban markets across the United States. Through ICIC, Kyle spent three years working for the Kresge Foundation and Detroit Economic Growth Corporation authoring the economic growth section of the Detroit Future City Strategic Framework.

 

Prior to ICIC, Kyle was a Bank Examiner for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY). In the wake of the financial crisis of 2008-2009, Kyle managed a series of financial stress tests, credit analysis and risk ratings for the nations’ largest investment banks. Kyle started his career in the Mergers and Acquisitions group of Europe’s largest banking institution, Deutsche Bank.

 

Kyle holds a B.A. in finance with cum laude honors from Morehouse College.
